AKICE
(Alaska International
Cultural Exchange) www.akice.org
Begun in Sept. '05
(project has been
dormant since 2006)
I
began this project to support the non-profit organization in
Alaska that is promoting art and cultural exchange opportunities
between Alaska and the Netherlands. I also designed their brochure;
and both use the illustration that I created (shown on the
right), depicting shoes/flowers from each culture.
ANCHORAGE
FOLK FESTIVAL www.anchoragefolkfesival.org
Begun in Dec. '04, (site
has since been replaced
with a different designer's work)
After
collecting photos from this annual Anchorage event, I created
this home page banner, and scattered the individual shots as filler
throughout the site. The organization provides a different logo
each year, which I adapt to the site to match that year's t-shirts
and other pomotions.
Suzi
sells sweaters and other import items in downtown Anchorage. She
requested a soft look that captured the feel of an Irish countryside.
I scanned a sweater for a background pattern, and I also photographed
some store patrons willing to don sweaters for us.
Originally
a subscriber-only site, providing updates on congressional activity
involving North Pacific Fisheries, and the outlook for the Magnuson-Stevens
Act re-authorization. Its content was compiled by a consulting firm
known as the North Star Group. Below is the banner logo I created
for them.
I
created this web site (now expired) for a grass-roots non-profit
group to educate Alaskans about fiscal issues. I designed their
logo (shown here) which was also used on a brochure that the organization
distributed.
One
of my first web projects, which I started while my daughter was
enrolled. I colorized their pre-exisiting logo, kept their calendar
updated, and put up sheet music for auditions.
