This new facility in Anchorage was begun by an experienced hair designer who wanted to expand her business to include a day spa, and to use the organic products of an environmentally conscious company (AVEDA). The web site focuses on a complete menu of Darae's salon and spa services, with environmental messages along the side of each page.

This web site promotes both the artwork and massage-therapy services of Ilse Witterland. It's the first site I built that includes Flash animation on the home page. I used illustrations created by Ilse, including the birds shown to the right, and applied motion to the navigation links, and continuous soft "pulsing" of colors that radiate from the center.

AKICE (Alaska International Cultural Exchange) www.akice.org Begun in Sept. '05
I began this project to support the non-profit organization in Alaska that is promoting art and cultural exchange opportunities between Alaska and the Netherlands. I also designed their brochure; and both use the illustration that I created (shown on the right), depicting shoes/flowers from each culture.
